Reading for fun transforms lives, but we’re losing the habit. The Sunday Times (The Times and The Sunday Times) has launched a campaign to #GetBritainReading as new data shows that people of all ages now read social media posts more often than books.
The initiative’s three main aims include: pledge to read for pleasure for at least 10 minutes a day for six weeks; donate to Bookbanks to put books in the hands of those most in need; and volunteer to read in schools with Coram Beanstalk.
